When the Director of Tennis at Lambton Golf & Country Club graciously offered to help with our fundraising, none of us could have imagined just how magical—and impactful—one evening could be.

We whisked guests away to Paris for the night, channeling the glamour of Roland Garros and the spirit of Ladies Tennis at Lambton. The dress code? Parisian chic, of course—with a twist: every costume needed to be tennis-ready! The courts came alive with laughter and friendly competition as players rotated through tennis and pickleball matches, their outfits as vibrant as their spirits.

But the fun didn’t stop there! The clubhouse transformed into a Parisian boutique, thanks to Sophie Bella’s pop-up shop, and the silent auction tables brimmed with excitement. The pièce de résistance? A jaw-dropping, one-week stay at a luxurious villa in Grand Cayman—generously donated by a member—which ultimately raised a staggering $15,000! Even now, it still feels surreal.

Meanwhile, the wine party was in full swing. Guests brought bottles to contribute to the draw (or picked one up from the club if they forgot), and raffle tickets sold in a flash. With 64 bottles up for grabs, Mina walked away with 60% of the haul, while Janet and Tanya each claimed 20%. All this, while everyone sipped on Paris 75s and toasted to good fortune.

Our Tennis Professionals, Director of Fitness, and Director of Dining all pitched in with fabulous silent auction prizes, as well as many members, making sure there was something for everyone to bid on.

It was an unforgettable evening—a true celebration of community, generosity, and the joy of giving back. Who knew fundraising could be this much fun?
